Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, often called the "Golden City," is renowned for its stunning sandstone architecture and desert landscapes. The fort is a living monument, with shops, homes, and temples within its walls. Patwon Ki Haveli, a cluster of intricately carved havelis, showcases the opulence of the region's merchants. Visitors can experience the thrill of camel safaris and desert camping at the Sam Sand Dunes, where breathtaking sunsets create a magical atmosphere. Day wise Itinerary


1Day 1 : Arrival Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer fort is located in the heart of Thar desert and was built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal after whom the city was named. It was declared a UNESCO heritage site in 2013. Once upon a time, Jaisalmer served as a trade centre due to its location of being situated on the trade route connecting the west to China.

On arrival in Jaisalmer, check in to the hotel and take some rest.

You can head to the Jaisalmer fort, that seems like it has just risen from the sand and offers stunning views of the city.

Then you can visit Patwaon ki Haveli & Nathmal ki Haveli , which date back from the 12th to 15th century & feature exquisite carving and filigree work.

And in Jaisalmer fort you’ll find the cafes & restaurant and you can eat while enjoying the sand views from top.

And later return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
2Day 2 : Jaisalmer to Samdunes
Regarding tropical deserts, the Thar Desert is tenth on the list. It is a natural border between India and Pakistan and spans about 200k kilometers. As a major tourist destination, Jaisalmer’s Thar Desert welcomes visitors from all over the globe. Camping in the desert, riding camels & Jeep safari in Thar desert.

Wake up to a beautiful morning and enjoy your breakfast.

Start your day by visiting the beautiful Gadisar lake where you can take a calming morning stroll.

After having lunch in city , you’ll head towards the Kuldhara, one of the most haunted village in India.

Now you’ll head towards the Sam sand dunes , where you’ll checkin to a desert camp.

Experience the exotic desert by Dune Bashing over the sand dunes & enjoy Camel Ride & Jeep safari in Thar desert overlooking a spectacular sunset.

You can then enjoy folk performances by the locals while enjoying a bonfire and an authentic Rajasthani meal.
3Day 3 : Samdunes to Longewala post
Longewala Post, located near the India-Pakistan border in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, is a site of significant historical and military importance. Famous for its role in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, it is where a small contingent of Indian soldiers bravely defended against a much larger Pakistani force during the Battle of Longewala.

The post is marked by its rugged terrain and stark desert landscape, providing a stark backdrop for the valor displayed by the Indian Armed Forces. Today, it stands as a symbol of courage and resilience, attracting visitors who come to pay tribute to the soldiers and learn about the strategic significance of the battle.

After breakfast check out from the desert camps and drive to Longewala post . And explore the last temple of India knownas Tanot Mata Mandir. Now, come back to Jaisalmer city and overnight stay in Hotel.
4Day 4: Departure
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and you can then transfer to Jaisalmer Railway Station/ Airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your tour with wonderful memories.
