Udaipur

Udaipur, often referred to as the "City of Lakes," is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and romantic ambiance. Founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II, this city is nestled among the Aravalli hills and boasts several beautiful lakes, most notably Lake Pichola, which offers enchanting boat rides and stunning views of the surrounding palaces. The City Palace, a sprawling complex that combines Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, is a major attraction, housing museums filled with royal artifacts. Udaipur is also famous for Jag Mandir, an exquisite island palace, and the serene Saheliyon-ki-Bari garden, known for its fountains and lotus pools. The city’s vibrant arts scene, including traditional music and miniature paintings, further enhances its charm.

Jodhpur

Jodhpur, dubbed the "Blue City" for its vividly painted houses, is a city steeped in history and culture. Founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha, it serves as the gateway to the Thar Desert. The imposing Mehrangarh Fort, which dominates the skyline, offers a glimpse into the city’s royal heritage and houses a museum with an impressive collection of artifacts. The Umaid Bhawan Palace, a blend of Indo-Saracenic architecture, is another highlight, now serving as a luxury hotel and museum. Jodhpur is also known for its bustling bazaars, such as the Sardar Market, where visitors can shop for spices, textiles, and handicrafts. The city’s rich cultural tapestry is reflected in its vibrant festivals and traditional folk music, making it a lively destination.

Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, often called the "Golden City," is renowned for its stunning sandstone architecture and desert landscapes. Founded in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal, this city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort being one of the largest forts in the world. The fort is a living monument, with shops, homes, and temples within its walls. Patwon Ki Haveli, a cluster of intricately carved havelis, showcases the opulence of the region's merchants. Visitors can experience the thrill of camel safaris and desert camping at the Sam Sand Dunes, where breathtaking sunsets create a magical atmosphere. Gadsisar Lake, surrounded by temples and ghats, offers a tranquil escape. The rich cultural traditions of Jaisalmer, including music and dance, come alive during festivals like the Desert Festival, celebrating the vibrant heritage of the region.

Day wise Itinerary


1Day 1 : Arrival Udaipur
Udaipur blossomed under the rule of 76 generation of brave Sisodia Rajputs – the Maharanas of Mewar, as a center of art, trade and culture through the medieval era. The Maharanas had a progressive outlook, establishing political alliances and trade relations with the Mughals. But they fiercely protected their independence in times of conflict.

Upon arrival, meet a representative at a pre decided location in Udaipur . Get transferred to your pre – booked hotel where you can check-in & relax for some time.

We’ll start with visiting the city palace, exploring its museums and courtyards. Take a walk to Jaagdish temple, a beaurtiful example of Indo-Aryan architecture. And local market.
2Day 2 : In Udaipur
The city was founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II as the new capital of the Mewar kingdom.

Udaipur is referred to as the ‘Venice of the East’ and the ‘City of Lakes’ for its interconnected lakes and grand palaces. Udaipur served as a shooting location for many Hollywood and Bollywood blockbusters.

Wake up to a most romantic city of world , have a delicious breakfast at hotel. Visit the Saheliyon-ki-Bari, a serene garden with fountains and lotus pools.

Visit the Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace) for sunset views over the city. (optional)

Take an evening boat ride on Lake Pichola to view the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. (optional)

And have a dinner at a rooftop restaurant with a lake view.

Overnight stay in Udaipur.
3Day 3 : Udaipur to Jodhpur
Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan (after Jaipur) and was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha who was the Rathore ruler of the Marwar kingdom. The old city of Jodhpur is based around the Mehrangarh fort also known as Jodhpur fort. As per local legends, a hermit named Cheeria Nathji (the lord of birds) who used to live on the hill where the fort is built, was ousted by Rao Jodha. Following this, he cursed the entire kingdom with water scarcity. This is the reason why some of the residents still believe that they face drought-like situations every three to four years despite getting some rain.

Of this mythical story, the birds still remain. These are the black kites and they are such an integral part of Mehrangarh fort that they also feature on the royal Jodhpur flag.

After having a delicious breakfast at hotel , you’ll checkout from the hotel.

Now, you’ll take a scenic drive towards Jodhpur & you can take a short stop over for refreshment. You will reach there by afternoon and check-in. Proceed towards the mighty Mehrangarh Fort that sits above a hill and is visible from throughout the city.

In the evening, You can also visit the local market at clock tower.
4Day 4 : Jodhpur to Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer fort is located in the heart of Thar desert and was built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal after whom the city was named. It was declared a UNESCO heritage site in 2013. Once upon a time, Jaisalmer served as a trade centre due to its location of being situated on the trade route connecting the west to China.

Most merchants at that time preferred to use the southern route via India instead of travelling through the treacherous central Asia mountains.

After having a delicious breakfast at hotel , you’ll checkout from the hotel.

Now, you’ll take a scenic drive towards Jaisalmer also known as the “golden city”. Take a short stopover at the Jaisalmer War Memorial, which honors the contributions and sacrifices of war heroes, and also traces the evolution of the Indian Army.

On arrival in Jaisalmer, check in to the hotel and take some rest.

You can head to the Jaisalmer fort, that seems like it has just risen from the sand and offers stunning views of the city.

And in Jaisalmer fort you’ll find the cafes & restaurant and you can eat while enjoying the sand views from top.

And later return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
5Day 4 : Samdunes
Regarding tropical deserts, the Thar Desert is tenth on the list. It is a natural border between India and Pakistan and spans about 200k kilometers. As a major tourist destination, Jaisalmer’s Thar Desert welcomes visitors from all over the globe. Camping in the desert, riding camels & Jeep safari in Thar desert.

Wake up to a beautiful morning and enjoy your breakfast.

Start your day by visiting the beautiful Gadisar lake where you can take a calming morning stroll.

Then you can visit Patwaon ki Haveli & Nathmal ki Haveli , which date back from the 12th to 15th century & feature exquisite carving and filigree work.

After having lunch in city , you’ll head towards the Kuldhara, one of the most haunted village in India.

Now you’ll head towards the Sam sand dunes , where you’ll checkin to a desert camp.

Experience the exotic desert by Dune Bashing over the sand dunes & enjoy Camel Ride & Jeep safari in Thar desert overlooking a spectacular sunset.

You can then enjoy folk performances by the locals while enjoying a bonfire and an authentic Rajasthani meal.

Overnight stay at the Desert Camp in Jaisalmer.
6Day 5: Departure
After breakfast check out from the desert camps and you can then transfer to Jodhpur Railway Station/ Airport for your onward journey.

This marks the end of your tour with wonderful memories.
